Function:
This Luminaire is designed for an intensive use in hospitals, laboratories, operating theatres, ansesthesia and sterilisation rooms as well as food. electronic and pharmacetical industries.
Construction:
A robust and solid construction characterizes this fitting with its tightly sealed comer ends by advanced welding techniques. The body of steel metal is treated and phosphated prior to its painting electrostatically with curable epoxy polyester powder, a coating which is highly resistant to chemical of cleaning and disinfecting agents.
Lighting:
The lighting flux is controlled by the evoluted double parabolic Astra diffuser Cat. 2 made from high quality matt anodized aluminium, in order to meet the european requirements of low glare. All other types of Astra reflectors can be installed upon request in this fitting.

Maintenance and Electrical Connections:
The interior of the luminaire is accessible through a tempered high quality silicate glass (see technical data No 1) which can be hung from
the fitting with two stainless steel cables during maintenance operations. The locking screws are attached to the glass permanently for
practical reasons.
Conventional gear with capacitors for power factor correction and radio interference suppression or high frequency electronic ballasts
can be supplied in this luminaire.
Gear and installations for T5 lamps can also be supplied upon request.

select area of coarsest fracture and draw 50 mm square, the number of particle in the area should be not less than 50.
Keep the glass in an oven with 220o C (±10oC) for 30 minutes, glass should not be broken.
To put the test in furance and heat up to 220oC (±10oC), keeping the situation for 30minutes, then put the test piece in the water of 20oC. the result should be no breakage.

Protecting degree IP65: The main aspect of this fitting is its high degree of protection. Its tight body is covered with a protective glass sealed with polyethylene base gasket and tightened by screws equipped with Oring seals. The borders of the fitting are also provided with gaskets to ensure a good seal with the false ceiling structure. All this renders the fitting fully dust proof and give it a protection from water jets in all directions - IP65. Confromity: The ASTRA AR 236 CR meets the European norms EN 60598 and CE.
